A ballroom dancer who lived through the Occupation has celebrated her 100th birthday.
On Wednesday Phyllis Huchet, who lives in St Helier, received a visit from the His Excellency and Lady McColl, to mark the occasion.
Mrs Huchet was born in St Martin on 17 August 1916 and remained in the Island all through the Occupation.
She married her late husband Raymond in her early 30s, and one of her brothers was among the soldiers returning from the front line who stood on the balcony of the Pomme d’Or on Liberation Day.
