Royal visits

Royal visits are an important part of the Royal Family’s role. Visits honour the work and achievements of an organisation or community. Invitations to members of the Royal Family are welcomed from charities, organisations or community groups asking them to a special event or an historic occasion.

The Lieutenant-Governor is responsible for co-ordinating the programme of all royal visitors to the Island.

Requesting a Royal Visit

Programmes for members of the Royal Family are planned well in advance, so you should submit invitations at least six months ahead of a proposed visit.

You can make general enquiries about Royal visits by contacting the Chief of Staff at the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor. The Office of the Lieutenant-Governor liaises with the Private Office of the prospective royal visitor and the host organisation.
