This weekend, in glorious sunshine, we saw the return of the Annual Inter Cadet Unit Challenge, the first time since 2019, with teams from across the Island’s Cadet Forces competing against each other in a range of skills from leadership, radio communications, fieldcraft, map & compass, first aid, inspection and archery. His Excellency toured all the stands meeting staff and cadets and was delighted to witness the enthusiasm of both cadets and staff. The Combined Cadet Force from Victoria College reigned supreme, winning both the best team and unit awards. Plans are already being made to make next year’s Cadet Challenge bigger and better.
