Every year the Lieutenant-Governor and his wife invite all Islanders to celebrate His Majesty The King’s Official Birthday at Government House. This is often referred in Jerriais as the Levée.
This year, the Levée is on Friday 12 June 2026 from 6pm to 7.30pm. Car parks open at 5.30pm.
The evening will include:
- Music by Les Quennevais School Steel Band and La Ronde Concert Band
- 21 Gun Salute by the 1781 Jersey Militia
- Marching Display and Beating of Retreat by the Band of the Island of Jersey
- and a “Special” Performance
- refreshments and Jersey Dairy Ice Cream
His Excellency will also announce Islanders who have been recognised in The King’s Birthday Honours list.
All Islanders are welcome to join His Excellency and Lady Kyd for this evening. It is a free event and you don’t need to book. You should dress smart and Medal maybe worn.
The main car park is located at St Saviour’s Parish Church field. There is limited disability parking at Government House.
