His Excellency and Dr Kyd hosted a Medal Presentation for the Jersey Humane Society on Friday 7 June. Firefighters Jonny Burch and Chris Sweeney were presented with the Jersey Humane Society Silver Medal and Firefighter Nick Willis was presented with the Jersey Humane Society Bravery Parchment. The three firefighters received their recognition by the Jersey Humane Society, following the rescue of a swimmer in St Ouen’s Bay on 20th August 2023.
Scott Boydens and Nathan Strzelecki also received the Jersey Humane Society Bravery Parchments for saving a man’s life.
