Three long-serving Honorary Police Officers from the Parish of St Helier and Grouville were honoured at a ceremony at Government House last week. His Excellency presented Vingtenier Merces Pereira and Vingtenier Ben Wheaton with the Honorary Police Long and Meritorious Service Medal, given when officers have served more than 12 years. Centenier Paul Godel was awarded a Second Bar to that medal having served more 21 years, marking significant commitment to parish policing.
