His Excellency Vice-Admiral Jerry and Dr Karen Kyd hosted a reception at Government House on Thursday 20th April to promote the Government’s agricultural revival strategy.
Attending the reception was a wide range of representatives and stakeholders present including the Government of Jersey as well as the Island’s agricultural sector comprising farmers, growers and landowners.
Mr Alan Blair, HM Receiver General made an announcement from the Crown giving details of grants which will be available for locally based students to study agriculture and farming over the next five years to support this important sector which is providing vital local food sources as well as being the main guardian of our environment.
