His Excellency Vice Admiral Kyd CBE had the pleasure of presenting a cheque to the value of £5,000 from the Sir James Knott Trust (SJKT) to Miguel Ferreira, Club Manager, Jersey Leonis Amateur Boxing Club during a juniors training session on Wednesday 26th July 2023.
His Excellency had an excellent first visit to Jersey Leonis Amateur Boxing Club at South Hill Gym on the 4th April 2023, where he watched a senior boxing session and learnt a little more about what the club does for the benefit of the community. He was very impressed with the professionalism and commitment of the volunteer staff during his visit and hopes that this grant will assist with the purchase new equipment to support the work the club does for the community.
The club has recently achieved its status as a Registered Jersey Charity.
